Accommodation & Facilities

At Rosegarth, we have established a safe and comfortable environment that feels like the residents’ own home.

This Edwardian building has been sympathetically converted to create a unique Care Home in an idyllic quiet tree-lined road close to the beautiful Ilkley Moor and ideally situated close to transport links and the lively and attractive town centre.

Shared Living Areas

We provide a chair lift giving easy access to the upper floor for our residents, enabling them all to enjoy our dining room and lounge and conservatory, thus enjoying full freedom around the home and gardens.

Our residents may spend their day in our elegant, comfortable lounge where they may read or enjoy music and activities or sit in the conservatory overlooking the private and sheltered sun trap gardens. Our south facing paved garden offers plentiful seating and shaded areas and residents can take afternoon tea with friends and family and enjoy the seasonal flowers.

Rooms

At Rosegarth, we provide accommodation for up to 18 people in single rooms. Each room has its own unique feel to it. We see our residents as individuals with their own needs and personalities. Our residents are able to choose rooms that suit them. Some rooms will accommodate personal items of furniture and everyone is encouraged to display precious pictures, ornaments and family photographs.

Each room is light and airy; some rooms in the older part of the building benefit from those classic Edwardian features such as the high ceilings and detailed cornicing, whereas the rooms from the more modern side of the building may feature the benefits such as doors leading to our beautiful gardens. We invite you to come and take a look to see which room is most suited to your loved one. Some rooms have en-suite facilities, all have wash basins, and the home provides bath and walk-in shower facilities with bath hoists if required.

Home Services

Our hairdresser cuts, sets and perms hair as required, ensuring that our residents’ appearance is as they like it to be and that their personal dignity is maintained.
The activity therapist encourages activities that restore muscle strength and usefulness. Activities such as daily walks, dancing, ball games and armchair exercises helps to maintain the residents’ arm and leg strength, while helping them to retain coordination skills and balance.
An annual expert Audiology service is provided by a local company who set up their testing equipment and provide a unique service within our home to offer Hearing Aids to our Residents.
Our visiting chiropodist is a welcome professional who offers our residents regular foot and nail specialist care service within our home.
Annual sight tests are provided by a local company who set up their latest eye testing equipment and are able to diagnose any glaucoma or medical condition as well as checking any deterioration in residents' vision. If our Optician recommends a new prescription, then the resident may choose from a wide range of NHS or private spectacles.
The music therapist engages residents in lively musical activities that they really enjoy during his light hearted sessions.
