Care Philosophy

We understand just how important it is for you to feel like your loved ones are in a safe, happy environment. We also understand the fear of upheaval when considering placing your relatives in care and we do our utmost to ensure this transition is not only a smooth but also enjoyable process.

We take great pride in providing an environment that feels like a ‘home’, our choice of premises is all about ensuring that the residents are being cared for somewhere that is clean, welcoming, friendly and homely.

Carol Taylor has been the owner of Rosegarth for 25 years and her years of experience in running the home give her a deep understanding of the needs of her residents. She takes great pride in providing the highest standard of care. Carol originally trained as a registered nurse, then as a health visitor and holds an honours degree in healthcare management.

To support Carol and carry out her vision of how the home should be run are our highly trained Home Manager Fiona Collins and Carol Collins the Deputy Manager. Both Fiona and Carol are committed to providing care with a person centred approach, ensuring a high standard of care for each individual, tailored to their changing personal needs.

Alongside our Care Managers are our long-established Care Team who have an extensive programme of induction & training and have specialist dementia training and experience which enables them to provide a service dedicated to a wide range of individual assessed care needs. Our care teams are experienced in discretion required especially when dealing with personal care issues.

Our Care Manager personally develops our plans of care; they are designed to promote the independence and individuality of each person, and these care plans are delivered to each resident in a caring and sensitive manner. All care staff follow these detailed guidelines to offer loving and supportive care to each resident. The Managers actively encourage relatives to be part of the care planning and care plan reviews wherever possible.

We positively encourage regular contact between residents and their families and friends. With our open door policy and free refreshments for all, visiting is available at any time, a key factor for working relatives and friends.

  • Staff Training

Rosegarth has an extensive training programme and has several care staff undertaking advanced NVQ qualifications. We attend Bradford Social Services training events and access many valuable courses from The Care School in Shipley.
  • Higher Dependency Care

We have strong links with local Doctors and the full support of their District Nurse Teams who visit every day if required thus enabling us to provide maximum support if and when care needs increase. This ensures the best possible service 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

The palliative care team support our staff in caring for residents who need end of life care.
  • Mobility

Rosegarth’s philosophy is to encourage daily exercises and mobility whenever possible, whether it be a walk, armchair exercises or a dance to music from one of our regular entertainers.

If a resident's mobility decreases, we can provide more accessible accommodation. We have several ground floor rooms and a mechanical hoist for the bath.
