Our commitment to making Rosegarth your home from home extends to the catering too. Each home - cooked meal is lovingly prepared on the premises from the best quality ingredients.

To ensure our standard of catering is excellent we source all our meat from the award winning local butcher, David Lishman , and our fruit and vegetables from Asquiths in Ilkley .

We are very conscious that mealtimes are one of the highlights of the day and our residents really look forward to them.

Our cooks pride themselves on providing nutritious meals to tempt even the smallest appetites. Once again the individual needs of each resident are taken care of and we quickly become familiar with each resident’s personal preferences and cater for special and vegetarian diets. Daily baking gives us fresh homemade cakes and scones for afternoon teas and birthday parties.

We enjoy bringing some fun and tradition to our meal times too on special occasions such as Pancake Day or on Bonfire Night (sticky Yorkshire Parkin) and our Christmas dinners are superb.

Meals can be taken in the residents’ own rooms or in the dining room, which gives everyone an opportunity for a social occasion. Extra snacks, drinks and fresh fruit are always available and hot and cold drinks are served at regular intervals throughout the day, and the night staff are happy to offer them through the night as required.

We are very proud of the standard of our catering at Rosegarth and have recently been awarded 5 stars out of 5 (excellent) in the Bradford Environmental Health Scores on the Doors scheme.

Celebrations

We celebrate each birthday and milestone with great enthusiasm.

Visiting clergy hold occasional services in the home and volunteers from local churches take residents to services.

There are also a number of annual events which we celebrate. These include New Years Day, Pancake Day, St. Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, Easter, Father's Day, Bonfire Night firework party, Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years Eve.

We have a Garden Party each July and a Christmas Party to which all residents can invite as many friends and family as they like. These are such happy occasions and great fun for all. We hire a small band for our summer event who play familiar music and encourage dancing.
